Clearance

After the DDE/SD or DSE is registered and the customs clearance procedure is initiated, the DDE/SD or DSE is submitted to fiscal analysis and selected for one of the conference channels according to the parameters established by the Internal Revenue Service, named parameterization.

GREEN CHANNEL: the system (SISCOMEX) automatically proceeds with the clearance process, waiving the need for a document exam and physical merchandise verification.

ORANGE CHANNEL: the document exam is performed; however, nothing prevents the inspectorate from performing a physical merchandise verification.

RED CHANNEL: the document exam and physical merchandise verification are carried out.

After the procedures related to the parameterization channel are performed, the process will be complete and the merchandise will be cleared and ready for shipment.

Important:

It is important to emphasize that for a five-year period, beyond the import/export execution period, there must be a perfect filing system of all documents related to the operation; and the lack of compliance with this obligation may implicate severe penalties to all parties involved in the operation, such as importers/exporters, customs agents and other intervening parties.
