Imports
Importing is the procurement of items from a foreign country in compliance with the commercial, currency exchange and fiscal regulations established by Brazilian law.
The import process is divided into three stages: administrative, fiscal and currency exchange.
The administrative stage involves the procedures required to carry out an import, varying in accordance with the type of operation and product.
The fiscal stage comprises the customs clearance process, which is completed when the applicable taxes are paid and the goods are physically removed from the Customs facility.
Lastly, currency exchange takes place when foreign currency is transferred to the supplier through a bank authorized to perform exchange transactions.
